Dental Implants are able to provide solutions for many patients who have experienced tooth loss. Dental Implants can be an excellent treatment option to replace a single missing tooth, several teeth missing in a row or to replace all of a patient's lost teeth.
For the patient with no remaining natural teeth, dental implants can be used to support and stabilise existing dentures or to support full fixed bridges.
Prior to any treatment, the underlying bone is assessed by 3d imagery (Cone Beam CT) to analyse suitable bone volume.
The treatment consists of surgically placing the implant into the underlying bone. As the bone heals, a process called "osseointegration" develops. Once osseointegration has occurred, the implant is then anchored securely into the jawbone. The implants can then support teeth, bridges or dentures.
